Praise and a couple new Prayer Requests

Praise regarding Max Randall! This is from Ted:

Max was diagnosed PDD-NOS (pervasive developmental disorder - not otherwise specified) That means he meets several of the criteria for autism(delayed speech, communication, social skills) and is considered to be on the autism spectrum. That being said, he doesn't match all the criteria to be diagnosed fully autistic and the "outlook" for him is extremely bright. It could be said that his symptoms are mild, but visible.

> Our goal for him was to have him integrated into regular school during elementary. We were told Monday that he would be fully integrated in kindergarten! They were exetremely optimistic about Max and so are we.

> Bottom line - we were very pleased with his assessment. He will begin school in April!

Praise the Lord for this positive news!

Toni Colvin's neice Katie. She has a thyoid condition that now will lead to surgery or radiation therapy.
Patricia Owen's friend Diane, whose Mom had a biopsy and will receive the results next week. Also, please continue to pray for Patricia, her condition is not any better and managing life has been difficult.

Claire McCoy and Max Randall

Claire Update: Claire is home! She ended up needing a cast. Please pray that her hip will stay safe and that she will not get pneumonia from the lack of mobility. Note: I posted an update (comment) yesterday that may have not been forwarded via email to the Partners. Please refer to that for events that have transpired this week.

Max: On Monday, Ted and Mary are taking Max to be evaluated for the autism program in DISD. Please pray that he would be enrolled in a pre-k program that would help his development.

Psalm 116:1 ~ I love the LORD because he hears and answers my prayers.

Claire McCoy in the ER

Dear Partners, Kari and Claire's nurse, Joni, have taken Claire to the ER at Children's hospital. Claire is in pain and Kari is going to try to get her an X-Ray. They suspect the pain is coming from her hip area. Last week the doctors determined Claire was reacting to the seizure medicine. Claire is still having seizures and is very uncomfortable. Thjanks for praying.

Urgent Prayer Need for Claire McCoy

Dear Partners, Friend Laura Kay just received a call from Kari McCoy. She is on her way to the doctor with Claire and asks for our prayers. She is not sure what the problem is. Claire's heart rate is racing and she is in pain. It could be that she has a broken bone. Please pray for comfort for Claire, for an accurate diagnosis and for strength for Kari.

Partners, please pray for Daniel and Gloria Cooley and their Team's Mission Trip to Guatemala. Below is a prayer guide for each day of travel and ministry:

Thursday, February 7th
* Pray for safe travel for Daniel and Gloria. Flight from DFW to Guatemala City leaves at 5:40pm.
* Pray for all luggage and humanitarian aid to arrive in Guatemala City.

Friday, February 8th
* Pray for safe travel for the rest of the team. They will leave DFW at 5:55pm.
* Pray for all luggage and humanitarian aid to arrive in Guatemala City.
* Pray for a good night's rest.

Saturday, February 9th
* Pray for Gloria as she leads the team devotions this morning.
* Pray for orientation and team building with interpreters and in-country staff.
* First day of ministry at San Gabriel Boy's Home
* Pray for receptive hearts as the Gospel is shared
* Pray for relationships to be built with the boys
* Dinner with youth living in transitional homes
* Pray for a sweet time of fellowship and encouragement for the youth living in the transitional homes

Sunday, February 10th
* The team will be attending worship at La Verdad Church
* Pray for this church and their ministry
* Second day of ministry at San Gabriel Boy's Home
* Pray for the staff and directors of this orphanage
* Pray for the boys to experience healing and forgiveness

Monday, February 11th
* Pray for Daniel as he leads team devotions this morning.
* Catch the Vision Ministry Projects - the team will be dividing into 3 ministry project groups
* El Narnjito- mission church of La Verdad Church (Daniel and I will be participating in this project)
* El Rayito de Esperanza - school located in the dump
* Buckner Baby Home and Transitional Homes
* Praying walking at La Parque Democracia
* This will be the site of a Luis Palau event later this year
* Pray for the churches and organizations that will be involved
* Pray for the people who will attend this event. Pray for God to be at
work in their hearts even now.
* Last day of ministry at San Gabriel Boy's Homes.
* Pray for the boys as the team says goodbye
* Pray for decisions to be made for Christ
* Pray for safe travel as the team will be traveling from Guatemala City to Antigua this evening.

Tuesday, February 12th
* Pray for a time of rest for the team members this morning.
* First day of ministry at Manchen Girl's home.
* Pray for the girls to be receptive to the Gospel.
* Pray for the nuns and caretakers who oversee the home.

Wednesday, February 13th
* Pray for safe travel in the morning as the team travels to Alotenango to
participate in a ministry project.
* Second day of ministry at Manchen Girl's Home.
* Pray for Gloria as she shares with the girls about being a new creation in Christ. Pray for ease of language and understanding.

Thursday, February 14th
* Pray for safe travel in the morning as the team travels to Alotenango to
participate in a ministry project.
* Final day of ministry at Manchen Girl's Home - Valentine's Party
* Pray for decisions to be made for Christ
* Pray for the girls as the team says goodbye

Friday, February 15th
* Pray for safe travel as several team members including Daniel and Gloria depart Antigua and return to Guatemala City to fly home. We will be leaving Antigua at 5:30am and need to travel mountain roads to return to the city.
* Pray for a safe flight from Guatemala City to DFW
* Pray for the rest of the team as they spend the day in Antigua.

Saturday, February 16th
* Pray for safe travel as the rest of the team depart Antigua and return to Guatemala City to fly home.

More Prayer Requests

• Please pray for Julene Jaeger. She has been under a tremendous amount of stress, and today she passed out at a gas station, hitting her head. She is in the hospital in Arlington. Please pray for her and her children Slade and Shaina. This is a very difficult time for them.
• Brent's Mom. Bone marrow not producing white blood cells. Doctors are treating the symptoms.
• Woody Glenn had eye surgery (repairing a detached retina) earlier this week and it went well. Pray for complete and quick healing.
