Susan Hatfield Update

Susan is in surgery now having her gallbladder removed. Pray for her, John, and Maddie. All will need God's grace and hope through recovery.

side note: The surgeon, Dr. Cione prayed with them before the surgery and gave Susan and John a great deal of confident joy, knowing God's mighty healing hand was already at work.

Monte Dunn's Parents

Please pray for the Dunn family as they proceed on this journey together. This is the note Monte sent:

Last Thursday afternoon we had to take my my father to the hospital where he had a pacemaker implanted when it was found that only about 1/3 of his heart was operating properly. While he was recovering from this surgery it was discovered that he has cancer in his lungs and liver. Additionally, he is suffering from what appears to be early dementia causing him to hallucinate and be unaware of his surroundings. While we are all comforted by the knowledge that he knows Jesus as his personal savior; it is a difficult time for my family. We know that through it all God will be glorified.

Additionally, my mother is experiencing serious pain in her hip and leg and we suspect that she will need a hip replacement soon but she wants to wait until after we find out more information regarding the prognosis for my father. I will be meeting with a Christian hospice care facilitator Tuesday morning.

Pray for guidance and wisdom for the decisions we make and for my mother who will have a difficult time with taking his care out of her hands. Please lift up this precious couple who needs God's grace and mercy at this time.

Cuban brothers and sisters

From a friend of Grace Point's: Gary Son

Dear friends,

I am writing to ask you to pray for Cuba. They are preparing to be hit by the third hurricane of this season.

My friend, Phil, received this update from Pastor Juan Carlos in Havana. “The Lord has used the hurricanes to bring many to faith. Many church services in Cuba are overflowing now. The church in Havana is overflowing with people every Sunday. There are many new believers. They will begin having two church services on Sunday mornings to be able to attend to so many who are seeking to worship on Sundays. The Spirit of God is accomplishing many things in Cuba these days." Phil adds, "Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ there. It is a very difficult time for many who lack adequate housing, food and other needs."

If anyone would like to help our Cuban brothers and sisters, you may contact me. I am grateful for you all.

With love in Christ,

Gary

Missionary Mitch McCaskell

Churches Who Are Praying,

I want to inform you of a great need that you may be able to help with.

There is a need for a teacher in the MK (missionary kids) school here to teach first and second grade. The current teacher is leaving after Christmas and there is no replacement. This means that many first and second graders will be without a teacher. Therefore, there is a need for someone to come from January until May... they could stay for another whole school year or go home in May. This is a volunteer position.

This is a desperate need.

By His Grace,
Mitch
